Loet Vanderveen
Loet Vanderveen was born in Holland and now lives
in Big Sur, California. The Big Sur coastline is incredibly conducive
to Loets creativity. The remote area with an abundance of
wildlife, coupled with his love for animals, prompted Loet to
first create animal forms in ceramic clay.
Striving for a more sophisticated and graceful image,
he ventured into designing animals in bronze. His unique bronze
sculptures (with patinas of ebony brown, burgundy red, jade green
and silver grey) are highly polished to enhance and accentuate
the dimensional surfaces.
These uniquely stylized interpretations are appreciated
by distinguished collectors worldwide including H.M. Queen Elizabeth,
President and Mrs. Reagan, and the Sultan of Oman.
